Helen Fox and Bill Ryan co-authored the booklet Ottawa 2015 - Finnoe, Kilbarron, Terryglass 1815 and are Parish Liaisons for Kilbarron Terryglass Ireland Reaching Out. Both are active members of Kilbarron Terryglass Historical Society. Through their involvement with this Society, they identified large numbers of family groups mainly, Church of Ireland, who left the parish, quite a number going to Ottawa and greater Ontario in the early to mid-1800s.

They applied for and succeeded in obtaining grant from the Diaspora Fund in July 2015

They have partially recorded several families but they focused primarily on 15 families who they felt best represented the spread of emigration across the community.
Many who emigrated from the area left from Coolbawn Quay to connect with the steam boat in Limerick to begin their long journey for a new life in Canada.

Their presentation will focus on these families, tracing connections with Kilbarron Terryglass and Ontario. They have collected family photographs well as tracing Family Trees and stories relating to the families.
