Taxis & Hackneys,Limousines, Large Public Service vehicles, Youth & Community Buses, School Buses

The application forms as itemised under Private Vehicles and Goods Vehicles are also the forms to be used for taxing these categories of vehicles.

The following additional documentation is required:-

TAXIS, HACKNEYS AND LIMOUSINES:
Current Small Public Service Vehicle Licence issued by the National Transport Authority. .

LARGE PUBLIC SERVICE VEHICLES:-
Current LPSV Licence together with current Certificate of Roadworthiness (where a vehicle is one year old or more from the date it was first registered).

YOUTH & COMMUNITY BUSES:-
Youth & Community Bus Declaration Form available from Motor Tax Office. Current Certificate of Roadworthiness (where a vehicle is one year old or more from the date it was first registered).

SCHOOL BUSES:-

  • Article 60 Licence as issued by the Carriage Office - Garda Siochana.
  • Current Certificate of Roadworthiness (where a vehicle is one year old or more from the date it was first registered).

Small Public Service Vehicle Licences are categorised as Hackneys, Limousines, Taxis and Wheelchair Accessible Taxis. In each case the documentation for taxation is the same.
You need the following:

  1. Form [ RF100A ], completed OR Computerised reminder Form RF100B
  2. Confirmation of current Insurance details.
  3. Fee [See attached List of Rates]
  4. Current PSV Licence.
