Notice of Intention to Revoke The Newport Local Area Plan 2010

Pursuant to Section 20(3) of the Planning and Development Act, 2000 (as amended), Tipperary County Council hereby gives notice that it intends to revoke the existing:

The proposed Variation - Settlement Plans of the North Tipperary County Development Plan 2010 (as varied) is currently in draft format and includes a written statement and maps for Newport and a public consultation has been completed in relation to the proposed plan.

Therefore, the planning authority consequently proposes to revoke the Newport Local Area Plan 2010.
It is proposed that the revoking of the Newport Local Area Plan 2010 and the adoption of the proposed Variations - Settlement Plans of the North Tipperary County Development Plan will happen concurrently.

The Newport Local Area Plan 2010 and the proposal to revoke the local area plan may be inspected from Friday 29th September, 2017 to Monday 13th November, 2017 (inclusive), at the following locations:

  • Tipperary County Council, Civic Offices, Nenagh
  • Tipperary County Council, Civic Offices, Clonmel

Written submissions or observations with respect to the revocation of the Newport Local Area Plan 2010 will be taken into consideration before deciding upon the proposals.
Submissions may be made by email to planning@tipperarycoco.ie or in writing to Gillian Barry, A/Staff Officer, Planning Section, Tipperary County Council, Civic Offices, Nenagh, Co. Tipperary on or
before 4.30 p.m. on Monday 13th November, 2017.

Submissions should be clearly marked “Submissions to the Revocation of the Newport Local Area Plan 2010”

Children, or groups or associations representing the interests of children are entitled to make submissions or observations in respect of the proposals and any such submissions or observations received will be taken into consideration in deciding upon the proposals.
