Welcome to the dedicated webpage for public consultation in respect of:
Concurrent variation processes are now underway in respect of both these Plans to incorporate new Settlement Plans.
How are the plans proposed to be Varied?
The North and South Tipperary County Development Plans each have a county-wide Settlement Hierarchy and plans are in place for small towns and villages across the county. The reason and purpose of this Variation, is to provide a consistent development strategy and land use zoning framework for small towns and villages across the North and South Tipperary County Development Plans.
The proposed Variation consists of revised settlement plans for towns and villages identified as ‘Service Centre’, ‘Local Service Centres’ and Settlement Nodes in the County Settlement Strategy and Hierarchy.
The proposed variation includes the following:
a. From Node to Local Service Centre: Ballycommon, Clonnore, Garrykennedy, Loughmore and Riverstown
b. Omission of : Ballymackey, Kilcommon Lower and Lelagh
You are invited to participate in the preparation of the Variations by making a written submission. The proposed Variations will only be finalised after consideration of submissions received from all stakeholders.
