Road Maintenance

Maintenance of Hedges

During Winter storms, a large number of trees and branches fall on public roads. Owners and occupiers of land adjoining roads are requested to inspect trees and hedges on their property and ensure that they do not pose a danger to road users.

National Road Grant Allocations

Grants received from Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII) in respect of the improvement and maintenance of National Primary and National Secondary Roads in County Tipperary.

Winter Maintenance 2016-2017- Salting Routes

The winter maintenance period lasts from mid October to the end of April each year. Tipperary County Council is constantly striving to improve its winter maintenance service; however, neither the local authority nor Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII) (formerly the NRA) has a statutory obligation to pre-salt roads.
