Chief Executive
Tipperary County Council
Foreword from the Cathaoirleach Councillor Phyll Bugler

I am privileged and honoured to have been elected as the fourth Cathaoirleach of Tipperary County Council.
My aims for the coming year include increasing employment opportunities in Tipperary. I intend to highlight the many advantages Tipperary has to attract companies to our County including close proximity to international airports and ports, highly skilled workforce and the fact that Tipperary is one of the most central and accessible economic locations.
Tourism is also high on my agenda and I plan to galvanise and extend growth in Tipperary Tourism. I intend to work closely with Tipperary Tourism Company, Lough Derg Marketing Group, Munster Vales and Fáilte Ireland to engender an awareness of the excellent Tourism Product available in Tipperary. I especially want to progress the new Fáilte Ireland Lakelands Project which will include walking, cycling and boating routes along the Shannon Lakes –Lough Allen, Lough Ree and Lough Derg.
In conclusion, I look forward to working with Management, Staff and members of the Council in ensuring that Tipperary continues to grow and develop. I pledge to act as an ambassador for Tipperary at home and abroad and encourage continued investment and creation of opportunities for all our citizens.
