Culture Night returns on Friday September 20th, inviting the public to dive into culture, creativity, and the arts. This nationwide event, made possible through the continued support of the Arts Council and Local Authorities across Ireland, opens doors late into the evening and offers FREE access to an exciting range of creative and cultural events and activities. How will you Culture Night this year?
These events are presented by imaginative and dedicated artists, cultural organisations, community groups and volunteers from all corners of Tipperary. From theatre to music, film, literature, visual arts and tours, there’s something to captivate every culture enthusiast and newcomer alike. A highlight of this year’s programme is “Enter the Night”, taking place at the Kickham Plaza, Clonmel and a first-of-its-kind event in Tipperary. “Enter the Night” sees the much-anticipated return of Houseplants, the dynamic duo of Irish music legends Paul Noonan (Bell X1) and Daithí, following their electrifying performance at When Next We Meet 2022. Known for filling festival tents and venues with their heartfelt electronic music, Houseplants are rapidly gaining recognition on the Irish music scene. This special Culture Night event kicks off at 7pm with music by From Out the Land and features performances by Eve Whelan, The Line, MDR, and Vale, showcasing their original sets.
This is just one of the 35 events happening across 12 towns and villages with preparations well underway so be sure to explore the exciting offerings at https://culturenight.ie/location/tipperary/ If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact the Tipperary Arts Office at 0818 06 5000 or via email at artsoffice@tipperarycoco.ie.
