Festival Strategy 2018 - 2020

Tipperary County Council aims to promote and support local festivals that are not solely commercially focused throughout the County, to support and assist those events that have a tourism/cultural/artistic or community focus and which contribute significantly to the quality of life.

Bealtaine Festival 2019

The Tipperary Bealtaine Festival is part of the National Bealtaine Festival that takes place across Ireland during May annually and encourages creativity and participation in the arts throughout our lives, particularly as we age.

Dromineer Literary Festival

The sixteenth annual Dromineer Nenagh Literary Festival takes place from 1 – 6 October 2019. From its first event in November 2004, the Festival has grown into a much loved and warmly anticipated event in the autumn literary calendar.

Spleodar Arts Festival

Spleodar is the Irish for excitement or outburst of energy and that is what Spleodar Halloween Arts Festival is all about. Set up in 2000 as a community festival it has quickly grown into a large scale spectacle event. In 2019 we are bringing you a jam-packed programme of events over 6 days.

Culture Night 2019 will take place on Friday 20th September

Now in its fourteenth year, Culture Night is our Island’s Premier National Celebration of Culture, Creativity and the Arts. In Tipperary, from Carrick-on-Suir to Roscrea and many places in between, dozens of exciting, entertaining events are enthusiastically produced by innovative, imaginative, hard working, artists, community groups and volunteers.

Switch 2019 Nenagh

Nenagh is currently part of an artist led project, SWITCH. Founded in 2007, switch promotes and shows contemporary video art in a public context. This is the 11th edition of this of this event. For the week 3rd to 10th Nov. 2019 video works will be installed in 8 different locations throughout the town centre of Nenagh and will run simultaneously from 4pm to midnight daily for one week.
