CLOSING DATE: 10th May 2018 at 4.00pm.
Made up of Ireland's finest young singers aged from 18 to 28, the Irish Youth Choir meets annually for a main intensive rehearsal course in the summer under the expert tuition of the Artistic Director, Greg Beardsell, and a team of tutors and vocal coaches. The week culminates in a number of performances by the choir. The 2018 residential week takes place from 29th June - 8th July with concerts on 6th/7th and 8th (TBC) July.
The Irish Youth Training Choir 2018 will take place from 23rd-27th June at the University of Limerick. IYTC provides young singers aged 14-17 with the opportunity to train with leading vocal and choral professionals during a residential summer course, culminating in an IYTC concert performance. After being a member of IYTC, young singers can expect to progress on to Irish Youth Choir (ages 18-28), taking part in their weeklong course of training and performances. The Irish Youth Training Choir meets for a weekend course and workshop performance.
Tipperary County Council will support one award to attend each course which covers tuition only to the value of €300.
Under this award, applications are invited from singers from Tipperary who have been accepted to participate in the Irish Youth Choir and the Irish Youth Training Choir through the applications processes held by the Association of Irish Choirs.
