Tipperary Bealtaine Festival Online 2020

The Tipperary Bealtaine Festival is part of the National Bealtaine Festival that takes place across Ireland during May annually and encourages creativity and participation in the arts throughout our lives, particularly as we age.

This year our Bealtaine Festival has moved online.

“It’s not a long way to Tipperary” – Tipperary Bealtaine Festival 2020

We are delighted to announce that the next event in the “It’s not a long way to Tipperary” series is an evening of poetry, spoken word and song. If you are free this coming Thursday 28th May from 9pm-10.30pm, we have a really special event featuring renowned poets and singers Eleanor Hooker, Nóirin Lynch and Catherine Ann Cullen. The theme of the 90 minute event is ‘The Water’ and we invite you to join by participating or simply listening.
Folklore.ie are curating this online event as part of The Tipperary Bealtaine Festival 2020 commissioned by The Arts & Library Services of Tipperary County Council.

While this is a Tipperary based project with key performers from across the county, we invite poets, writers, singers and listeners from all over Ireland and indeed the globe who would like to take part. As the title suggests with the advent of new technology “It’s not a long way to Tipperary” and you can participate in events from the comfort of your own home anywhere in Tipperary or beyond.

We have limited space in each session so you need to book your place ASAP by emailing folklore.ie@gmail.com We in turn will send you a password and all you need to do is login to Zoom at the scheduled time, enter the Meeting ID and password.
The remaining 2 events are:
