ASSISTANT SCIENTIST (INTEGRATED CATCHMENT MANAGEMENT)

THE POST IS A FIXED TERM CONTRACT POST and will conclude on 22nd December 2027.
In addition to the immediate position available, it is intended to establish a panel for a minimum period of 1 year (from date of panel formation) from which future vacancies for any of the LAWPRO locations may be filled.

LAWPRO is a shared service working with Local Authorities and state agencies to develop and implement River Basin Management Plans in Ireland, as required under the EU Water Framework Directive 2000 (WFD). The WFD seeks to protect and improve our natural waters, including rivers, lakes, groundwater, coastal water and transitional waters.

As part of the team structure of LAWPRO, it is intended to recruit ONE [1] Assistant Scientist, to be based within the location listed below:

1. The Offices of Dublin City Council (Dublin City) (1 contract post).

In addition to this vacancy, a panel will be formed from which vacancies arising in any of the LAWPRO offices will be filled. The offices are located as follows: Counties Donegal, Monaghan, Dublin, Offaly, Kilkenny, Tipperary, Cork, Limerick, Galway and Mayo.

Annual salary scale of €40,422 - €63,365. Normal working hours are 37 hours per week. It is likely that parts of the work schedule will be outside normal office hours, so flexibility will be required.
