Ministers Humphreys and O’Brien launched on 10th of May 2021 a €4.5 million fund, under the CEP, to provide
• Funding to support local groups to re-open their facilities post Covid-19
• Small grants for repairs and renovations, new equipment and safety upgrades
• Community Enhancement Programme to focus on disadvantaged areas
Tipperary County Council have received €149,690. We are proposing to ring fence €50,000 of the fund to target specific initiatives in the county

We are currently consulting with our partners identifying the needs.
The remaining €99,690 is being advertised through Tipperary County Council and PPN asking community groups to apply for grants. The grants will range from a few hundred euro up to €1,000, however, exceptions will be made depending on the application.
Applications can be made to the Tipperary LCDC by 12 noon on Wednesday 9th of June 2021. Application and Guidelines are attached below
To facilitate the identification of the location of the projects/work, a new field has been added to the application form requesting the XY co-ordinates of the project/work. To assist with sourcing the co-ordinates, the Department has developed a simple guide for use by applicants (attached below).
The Community Enhancement Programme (CEP) is funded by the Department of Rural and Community Development. one-off grants towards costs associated with reopening of a facility or the sustainability of a facility.
