Petroleum Vapour Regulations

The Air Pollution Act, 1987 (Petroleum Vapour Emissions) Regulations, 1997 (S.I. No. 375 of 1997)

If you are the owner\operator of a petrol filling station in County Tipperary with an annual throughput of more than 100m3 per year you are legally required to obtain a Certificate of Testing from Tipperary County Council as set out in the Petroleum Vapour Emissions Regulations 1997.

Air Monitoring Tipperary

Air Quality Monitoring

Tipperary County Council and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) have jointly completed a project to install an Ambient Air Quality Monitoring Stations across Tipperary.

Monitoring units have been installed in Clonmel, Tipperary Town and Nenagh.

Tipperary Co-Op Creamery operates under an Industrial Emissions Licence which is monitored by the EPA (Ref: IE Reg P0801-01)

The EPA is responsible for enforcement of any non-compliance with regard to the emission licence under which Tipperary Co-Op operates.
