AN TAISCE SPRING CLEAN SCHEME 2022

The following are the guidelines for Groups who are taking part in the An Taisce Spring Clean 2022.

1) To participate in the scheme all groups must register with An Taisce by logging onto Website; National Spring Clean

2) All Participants are requested to read An Taisce Website which provides a specified “2022 Holding a Clean-Up Guidance Document,” on the following Link: Clean-up-guidance-document

3) Supplementary equipment/materials of litter pickers, bags and gloves will be provided by Environment and Climate Action staff in Civic Offices, Nenagh and Clonmel by contacting 0818-06-5000 between 9.30am and 4.30pm. Please be advised that any group who wishes to take part in Spring Clean 2022 must be registered with An Taisce.

4) Please Note, supplementary equipment/materials will not be provided to non-registered An Taisce groups.

AFTER COMPLETION OF SPRING CLEAN UP

1. Spring Clean Groups may bring Spring Clean Bags to Tipperary County Council Civic Amenity Sites for the duration of the designated Spring Clean Period. The Group Representatives should provide the following information at the Civic Amenity Site:

1) Name of registered An Taisce Group
2) No. of Bags (yellow) collected,
3) Location of Bags (yellow) collected, preferably eircode/road number.
4) Contact person from the group & mobile number.

2. Spring Clean Group Representative may contact Environment and Climate Action Section in Nenagh or Clonmel at 0818-06-5000 with regard to Collection of collected roadside waste (in the designated yellow bags) from agreed locations by the Municipal District Staff/Environment Staff for the duration of the designated Spring Clean Period, subject to availability of staff. The Group Representatives should provide the following information

1) Date group representative rang in requesting bags to be collected.
2) No. of Bags (yellow) collected,
3) Location of Bags (yellow) collected, preferably eircode/road number.
4) Contact person from the group & mobile number.

It is very important that the above protocols are followed by each Group as volunteers need to be aware of the protocols in place regarding the collection and final disposal of litter collected by the volunteers.
