Following our previous Press release dated 25th March in this regard Tipperary Fire and Rescue Service wish to advise LANDOWNERS that Fire Service Communications Service (via 999) is now in a position to again take notifications of farmers intention to carry out controlled burning and this is effective immediately.

Landowners will be asked to confirm that they have sent Statutory Notice (in accordance with WASTE MANAGEMENT (PROHIBITION OF WASTE DISPOSAL BY BURNING) REGULATIONS 2009) to the Environment Section of Tipperary Council
(using attached form) of their intention to carry out burning.

Tipperary Fire & Rescue Service would like to thank you for your continued support and cooperation with this. We would also like to take this opportunity during this crisis to reassure you that should you require the Fire Service we will as always be ready to attend Emergency calls.
