Donohill Civic Amenity Site

Works are currently ongoing at Donohill Civic Amenity Site. From Monday September 17th Donohill Recycling Centre will operate a restricted service for a period of approximately 20 weeks. This is to facilitate construction works to upgrade the Recycling Centre so that we can offer a better service to our customers.

Clonmel Swimming Pool

Dear all,

At a meeting of the Tipperary County Council Severe Weather Team, it was decided to close Clonmel Swimming Pool on Thursday, 01 March and Friday, 02 March 2018 due to the forecast severe weather event.

Please note that a decision will be made on Friday, 02 March as to whether this closure will or will not be extended beyond that date.

Energy Reduction Measures

Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII) has undertaken a programme of turning off surplus lighting at Motorway Junctions which commenced at the end of September 2018.

The objective is to reduce energy use in accordance with the EU Energy Efficiency Directive (2012/27/EU).

Junction 8 (Fethard) off the M8 at Cashel Co Tipperary is included in the TII’s programme.

Opening Hours of Civic Amenity Sites over the Easter weekend

Civic amenity sites which accept paper, cardboard, plastic, timber, garden waste, DIY waste, glass, and metal, waste electrical goods, batteries, textiles, waste oil and household hazardous waste for recycling will operate as normal on Good Friday open 08.30-15.30 Easter Saturday 09.00-12.45.

They will be closed Easter Monday and will re-open Tuesday 23rd as normal.

98 students from Scoil Mhuire Naingeal Clonmel visited Carrigeen Recycling Centre today 17th June, 2019. They were given a detailed tour of the Recycling Centre and shown a DVD on the whole area of recycling and how landfills operate.
