At a meeting of the Tipperary County Council Severe Weather Team, it was decided to close Clonmel Swimming Pool on Thursday, 01 March and Friday, 02 March 2018 due to the forecast severe weather event.
Please note that a decision will be made on Friday, 02 March as to whether this closure will or will not be extended beyond that date.

98 students from Scoil Mhuire Naingeal Clonmel visited Carrigeen Recycling Centre today 17th June, 2019. They were given a detailed tour of the Recycling Centre and shown a DVD on the whole area of recycling and how landfills operate.
Environmental Public Awareness Trailer out in Fethard on 7th August, 2019
Tipperary County Council's Environment Section staff were out in Fethard on Wednesday, 7th August, 2019 and today in Thurles Town distributing information on the green environment and household waste disposal. Mutt Mitts bags were given out to members of the public as a deterrent to dog fouling on the streets.
Specification and Design of Heating Systems with heat pumps to be held in Abbey Court Hotel, Nenagh on Friday, 18th October, 2019
The 1-day seminar aims to enhance the knowledge base of the engineering and architectural sector in Ireland with respect to heat pumps in homes and commercial buildings. Engineers and architects in Ireland have to change their method and type of specifications and designs for heating systems from a predominately high carbon heating systems to low carbon heating systems.
Tipperary County Council’s Environment Section worked with Clogheen and Cashel Men’s Shed in the making of window boxes, garden furniture and flower planters which will be distributed to a family project in Cashel town and to some schools in the county.
