Specification and Design of Heating Systems with heat pumps to be held in Abbey Court Hotel, Nenagh on Friday, 18th October, 2019
The 1-day seminar aims to enhance the knowledge base of the engineering and architectural sector in Ireland with respect to heat pumps in homes and commercial buildings. Engineers and architects in Ireland have to change their method and type of specifications and designs for heating systems from a predominately high carbon heating systems to low carbon heating systems.
Tipperary County Council’s Environment Section worked with Clogheen and Cashel Men’s Shed in the making of window boxes, garden furniture and flower planters which will be distributed to a family project in Cashel town and to some schools in the county.

The Environmental Protection Agency is running a communications campaign, on radio and social media, to inform everyone that reducing waste is one of the most important day-to-day actions we can take to help tackle climate change. As part of the campaign, we are encouraging everyone to join us in our Stop Food Waste pledge to go a week without wasting food.
Plastic Free Day in Supervalu, Cahir, Co. Tipperary
Staff from Environment Section were in attendance at Dolans Supervalu, Cahir on Friday, 7th and Saturday, 8th February, 2020 for plastic free day. We met with over 418 customers over the 2 days and it was a very enjoyable event with great interaction and very well received with customers about the plastics issues of today and other environment matters as well.

Wonderful news with the announcement that Tipperary County Council’s application for funding for ’Nenagh Historic & Cultural Quarter - A Tourism-led Regeneration Plan’ has been successful under the Rural Regeneration and Development Fund. This application was in partnership with Fáilte Ireland, the Office of Public Works and the Department of Culture, Heritage & the Gaeltacht.
