PLANNING & DEVELOPMENT ACT 2000 (AS AMENDED)
NOTICE OF PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT
Pursuant to the requirements of Section 177AE(4)(a) of the Planning and Development Act 2000 (as amended) Tipperary County Council seeks the approval of An Bord Pleanála to carry out the following development at R445 Dublin Road, Nenagh, Co. Tipperary:
Nature of Proposed Development
The installation of Phase 2 of a surface water drainage network at R445 Dublin Road, Nenagh including:
a) Storm sewer infrastructure ranging from 600mm diameter to 750mm diameter.
b) A petrol interceptor with oil alarm.
c) Reconstruction of an existing headwall to suit the upgraded infrastructure along with associated wing walls/ non-return valve.
d) Decommissioning and removal of existing under capacity surface water infrastructure in the works area.
The proposed drainage network will replace the existing under capacity drainage network which out-falls to the Nenagh River. The Nenagh River discharges to a Special Area of Conservation, namely SAC 002165 Lower River Shannon.
A Natura Impact Statement (NIS) has been prepared in respect of the proposed development. An Bord Pleanála may give approval to the application for development with or without conditions or may refuse the application for development.
Plans and particulars of the proposed development together with the Natura Impact Statement will be available for inspection, free of charge, at Nenagh Municipal District Offices, Tipperary County Council, Civic Offices, Limerick Road, Nenagh, Co. Tipperary between the hours of 9:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday (excluding Public Holidays) for a period from Thursday 26th September 2019 to Friday 8th November 2019. A copy may be purchased at a fee not exceeding the reasonable cost of making a copy.
Submissions and observations with respect to the proposed development, if carried out, relating to—
(I) the implications of the proposed development for proper planning and sustainable development in the area concerned,
(II) the likely effects on the environment of the proposed development, and
(III) the likely significant effects of the proposed development on a European site,
may be made in writing within the period specified above to An Bord Pleanála at the following address:
