Changes to Local Authority services effective from Thursday 31 December 2020

The government has agreed that Level 5 as set out in the Plan for Living with COVID-19 will apply nationally.

This will come into effect at midnight 30 December 2020 for all measures, with the exception of non-essential retail and gyms, leisure centres and swimming pools. These businesses should close from close of business on 31 December. Level 5 restrictions will remain in place until midnight on 31 January 2021. Tipperary County Council has further reviewed arrangements for access to its services as follows:
Access will not be available to:-
• Motor Tax offices,
• Swimming Pools, Gyms and Leisure Centres
• Public Libraries,
• Museums & Galleries,
• Arts events (indoors or outdoors),

Access to all Council offices
Direct access to the Council’s Civic Offices in Clonmel and Nenagh and Municipal District Offices in Carrick-on-Suir, Tipperary and Thurles will continue to be available via the customer service desks and receipts offices only.
While revised customer service arrangements will be in place in each building, customers may experience some delays owing to physical distancing restrictions in place and we would encourage customers to make an appointment with the appropriate section in advance if possible.
All members of the public are advised to wear face coverings when entering the council buildings.
Information on all Council services can still be accessed on line at www.tipperarycoco.ie and every effort should be made in the first instance to contact the Council by telephone, post or email and restrict face to face meetings if at all possible.
In order to keep people safe, please reduce the number of people you meet to a minimum and stay in your own county.
