Development Consent Order for the Sizewell C Nuclear Power Station
Please note in accordance with Article 132(6) of the Planning and Development Regulations 2001-2022, that the Minister has received information in relation to a decision taken by the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, to grant a Development Consent Order for the proposed Sizewell C Nuclear Power Station in Suffolk, England.
A transboundary EIA notification was received from the Planning Inspectorate UK in July 2020, regarding the proposed development consent application by NNB Generation Company (SZC) for the proposed Sizewell C Nuclear Power Station, in Suffolk, England, United Kingdom.
Article 132(6) and (7) of the Planning and Development Regulations 2001 – 2022 (the Regs) require that when the Minister receives information from a transboundary State in relation to a decision to grant or refuse a proposed development, the Minister must notify planning authorities likely to be affected, who in turn are required to publish a notice in an informing the public of the decision.
