Tipperary’ Community Response Team comprises of a number of stakeholders including but not exclusively;
The GAA and other sports clubs, the many community and volunteering groups , Tipperary Public Participation Network, An Garda Siochana , the HSE, Tipperary Volunteer Centre, An Post, Community Welfare Services, North & South Tipperary Development Companies, Red Cross, Civil Defense, Irish Farmers Association, Age Friendly Network, Local Link, Alone, Tusla and Muintir na Tire.
A number of the partners in Tipperary’s Response Team (Tipperary Public Participation Network, Tipperary Volunteer Centre and Tipperary County Council) have worked to provide Insurance Cover to Community Groups who are undertaking such sterling work in these unprecedented time.
If you are a community group who is currently undertaking voluntary work or hopes to undertake volunteer work during the current crisis your group may be eligible for cover under this insurance. The first step in the process is to register with the following two agencies( if you have not already done so):
Registerwith the Tipperary PPN (if you are not already registered) through the PPN Website https://www.ppntipperary.org/
Register with Tipperary Volunteer Centre (if you are not already registered) you may do so by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or check out their website at http://volunteertipperary.ie/
In registering this also ensures that volunteers access all of the latest advice and guidance on best practices in relation to volunteering.
