Ormond Castle Park Ecological and Amenity Enhancement Scheme

The Ormond Castle Park is an important historic area associated with Ormond Castle and a significant amenity and tourism asset for the town. Carrick on Suir Municipal District intends to prepare a design scheme to upgrade the Park for the benefit of local people and visitors to Carrick on Suir. The objective is to review the ecological, biodiversity and physical components and propose how these may be enhanced, whilst also raising awareness of the park in general.

The input of local community groups, residents’ associations, stakeholders and schools is now sought to assist in the preparation of proposals for this exciting initiative.
