Preliminary Shannon Catchment-wide Options to manage flood risk including Summer flooding in the Shannon Callows
Public Consultation Day
Jacobs Engineering Ireland, who are conducting the Shannon CFRAM Study, on behalf of the OPW and with the support of the local County Councils, have produced Flood Risk Management Options for the Shannon Catchment-wide (including Summer flooding in the Shannon Callows). To provide an opportunity for all interested persons to view and comment on these Options, a Public Consultation Day will be held in Athlone Civic Centre, Church Street, Athlone, Co. Westmeath from 2pm to 7.30pm on Thursday 26th May 2016.
We wish to invite you to view and discuss with us the Preliminary Shannon Catchment-wide Options to manage flood risk including Summer flooding in the Shannon Callows. This will be an opportunity to preview the options and discuss them with members of the Shannon CFRAM Project Team.
As you are aware the Draft Flood Maps can be found on our website, on the following link: http://www.shannoncframstudy.ie/maps.aspx
We look forward to meeting you again and hearing your views on the Flood Risk Management Options. Should you have any questions in the meantime, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
