Proposed Amendments to the Draft Tipperary County Development Plan 2022- 2028

Notice is hereby given in accordance with Section 12 (7)(a) and (b) of the Planning and Development Act 2000 (as amended), and Article 13G of the Planning and Development (Strategic Environmental Assessment) Regulations 2004, that Tipperary County Council has prepared Proposed Amendments to the Draft Tipperary County Development Plan 2022 - 2028. The list of amendments includes Proposed Amendments to the Record of Protected Structures.

Proposed Amendments have been screened, and it has been determined that Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) and Appropriate Assessment (AA) are required with respect to certain Proposed Amendments.

Public Consultation on proposed Material Amendments
Submissions or observations with respect to the Proposed Amendments, the associated SEA Screening Determination and SEA Environmental Report (which includes information on the likely significant effects on the environment of implementing relevant amendments) and the associated AA Screening Determination and AA Natura Impact Report, will be available for viewing from Friday 1st April 2022 to Tuesday 3rd May 2022 inclusive.

All observations or submissions received in relation to the Proposed Amendments during the above time period will be taken into consideration before the making of the Tipperary County Development Plan 2022 - 2028.

Making a Submission
The plan making process is a collaborative one and the Council is looking for your views on the Proposed Amendments to the Draft Plan. At this stage of the process, only matters raised in relation to the Proposed Amendments can be considered.

Submissions/or observations may be made during the period 1st April 2022 until 4pm on Tuesday 3rd May 2022 inclusive in one of the following ways:

Important things to note in making your submission:

Only submissions or observations received in relation to the Proposed Amendments and associated environmental reports will be taken into consideration.

  • Please insert the heading ‘Amendments to the Draft Development Plan’ on your submission.
  • Please make sure your submission is in one medium only i.e. via on-line form, email or by post.
  • All submissions should include your name and contact address, a map (where appropriate), and where relevant, details of any organisation, community group or company, which you represent.
  • Children or groups and associations representing the interests of children are particularly welcome to make submissions or observations.
  • Please be advised that all submissions received will be published online in accordance with the requirements of the Planning and Development Acts, 2000 (as amended) and will be summarised in the Chief Executive’s Report, which will also be published online. The Planning Authority reserves the right to redact any submission, or part thereof, that contains information considered to be vexatious, libelous or of a confidential nature.
  • All submissions are subject to the Data Protection Act (as amended) and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (as amended) and the Freedom of Information Act 2014 (as amended).

Deadline for Submissions
Submissions or observations relating to Proposed Amendments must be made in writing no later than 4pm on Tuesday 3rd May 2022.
Late submissions will not be considered.
