Re-start Grant Plus Applications (Closing date extended to 31st Oct 2020)

IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING THE RESTART GRANT AND RESTART GRANT PLUS SCHEMES.

  1. The Restart Grant Plus Scheme, including the top-ups applied nationwide and in certain counties, will close from midnight on Saturday 31st October. A new COVID Restrictions Support Scheme (CRSS) was established as part of Budget 2021 on 13th October 2020 and is being operated by the Revenue Commissioners

  2. If you did not apply for the original Restart Grant scheme, which was introduced at the end of May 2020, and believe that you may have been eligible, then please contact your local authority for further information. This process will close at midnight on 31st October.

A revised Restart Grants Plus scheme (RGP) has been launched. The Revised scheme supersedes the original Restart Grants Scheme, which has been closed to new Applicants.

How to Apply

Ratepayers who have previously been approved under the original Restart Grants Scheme

  • Previous Applicants who were approved do not need to complete a new Application. The Council will directly contact them by email early this week, simply requiring them to respond to the email, which will automatically include them in the new RGP scheme.

New Applicants, who haven’t previously applied under the Restart Grants Scheme or didn't qualify under the previous criteria

  • Please refer to the check list of required information below and the Frequently Asked Questions on the scheme
  • Apply by completing the Form link attached

To assist with your application for the grant you will need some details in relation to your business and it will be useful to have these details ready to facilitate completion of the application.

New Application Checklist
You will need..

  • A copy of the Rate Demand for relevant customer and property reference numbers
  • Revenue Registration Number
  • Eircode
  • Bank Account Name (Irish bank accounts only)
  • BIC
  • IBAN
  • Bank Statement Header
  • Tax Clearance Access Number
  • Turnover in 2019
  • Amount of Employees – including those on TWSS and PUP
