Congratulations to the prize winners from Carrig and Lorrha National Schools, who took part in the recent Cycle Safely poster competition for sixth class pupils in the Nenagh Municipal District, organised and funded by the Road Safety Section of Tipperary County Council.
The competition generated a lot of interest among primary schools with the joint first prize winners, Maureen Seymour from Carrig N.S. and Chloe Mannion from Lorrha N.S. each winning a bicycle and safety equipment. There were also prizes for the runners up.
Pictured above are the prize winners with their teachers and Michèle Maher Road Safety Officer, Tiperary County Council, Mary Murphy, Roads Section, Tipperary County Council and Peter Moynan of Moynan Cycles, Nenagh.
The poster competition will be rolled out to other Municipal Districts in 2020.
