EXTENSION TO THE CLOSURE ON THE L-4156 BALLYMUREEN TO POULDINE, CO. TIPPERARY

NOTICE is hereby given that Tipperary County Council has made an Order to extend the closing:

ROAD TO
BE CLOSED: L-4156 Ballymureen to Pouldine, Co. Tipperary
PERIOD OF
CLOSURE: • Phase 1 (West of the N62) – from 00.00hrs on the 22nd of April 2024 to 00.00hrs 14th of June 2024

• Phase 2 (East of the N62) – From 00.00hrs on the 10th June2024 to 00.00hrs on the 05th July 2024

ALTERNATIVE
ROUTES: Phase 1:
Traffic travelling west towards Holycross should divert towards Thurles on the N62. Turn left onto the L-4017 Clongour, and left again onto the R659 in the direction of Holycross.

Traffic travelling east towards Moycarky should divert towards Thurles on the R659, turning right onto the L-4017, and right again onto the N62 towards Horse and Jockey.

Phase 2:
Traffic travelling south on the R639 will continue as far as Horse and Jockey turning right onto the L4150 in the direction of Thurles, crossing the M8 intersection to join the N62 and continue their onward journey.

Traffic travelling east on the L-4156 from Holycross and traffic travelling south from Thurles on the N62 will continue on the N62 crossing the M8 intersection onto the L-4150 to Horse and Jockey turning left on the R-639 and continue their onward journey.

All diversion routes will be fully signed.
REASON FOR CLOSURE: To facilitate the laying of a new watermain

From the 23 of April 2024 to the 24 of April 2024 for road resurfacing.
From 07.30hrs to 19.00hrs for the duration of the works.
Diversions via the R-515 & L-4101

National Slow Down Day – 24hr speed enforcement operation takes place from 7am Friday 19th April to 7am Saturday 20th April.

From the 19 April 2024 to the 30 of April 2024 for road resurfacing.
From 07.00hrs to 19.00hrs for the duration of the works.
Local access will be maintained and Stop and Go will be in place as the works progress

Temporary Traffic Management on the R-676-0 Dungarvan Road, Carrick on Suir, Co.Tipperary.
From the 18 of April 2024 to the 22 of April 2024 for road resurfacing works.
From 07.00hrs to 19.00hrs for the duration of the works.
Local access will be maintained and Stop and Go will be in place as the works progress
