Croí Cónaithe (Towns) Fund Scheme

The Croí Cónaithe (Towns) Fund is a fund of €50 million providing grants to refurbish vacant properties. The original scheme was launched in July 2022 for towns and villages. It has now been extended (On 15th November 2022) to include cities and rural areas.

Properties considered for inclusion must be vacant for two years or more and built before 1993.
Under this initiative a grant of up to €30,000 will be available for the refurbishment of vacant properties for occupation as private residence by the owner.
A top up grant of up to €20,000 is available in the case of a property designated as derelict (structurally unsound and dangerous) .
Confirmation of vacancy and ownership must be validated prior to grant approval. Works covered by SEAI Better Energy Homes Scheme will not be covered.
