Have your say in the future planning and development of Cahir.
Tipperary County Council is commencing the preparation of a new local area plan for Cahir, which will replace the Cahir Local Area Plan 2011. The new local area plan will be prepared in accordance with Section 20 of the Planning and Development Act 2000 (as amended) and will set out the land use strategy for the town to ensure the town can grow, support employment and homes, and can do so sustainably.
The Council over the next months will be preparing a Draft Local Area Plan and we want to hear your views, ideas and suggestions on how Cahir should develop and grow, what are the strategic issues and priorities of the town and what should be included in our next plan.
Public Consultation begins on Wednesday, 6th November 2019 and submissions are invited up until 4.30 p.m. on Wednesday, 4th December 2019. The Cahir Local Area Plan booklet and Key Issues document provides background information and context on the key issues and questions we want to hear from you.
