Submissions are now closed on the 'pre-draft' consultation stage of the Cahir Local Area Plan 2020-2026.
Over the coming months, Tipperary will be preparing a Draft Local Area Plan for publication in Spring next year. There will be more opportunities to tell us what you think and how Cahir should develop at that stage. As part of the preparation of the Draft Cahir Local Area Plan, we will consider all of the submissions received as part of the 'pre-draft' consultation. Further updates on the next stages of the Cahir Local Area Plan will be published here, on our social media platforms and in the local press so keep an eye out for further developments.
Cahir Local Area Plan 2020-2026
Tipperary County Council is preparing of a new local area plan for Cahir, which will replace the Cahir Local Area Plan 2011. The new local area plan will be prepared in accordance with Section 20 of the Planning and Development Act 2000 (as amended) and will set out the land use strategy for the town to ensure the town can grow, support employment and homes, and can do so sustainably.
