Road Developments

LOCAL IMPROVEMENT SCHEME (LIS) 2019 – NON PUBLIC ROADS.

Applications are invited for the Local Improvement Scheme which applies to non-public accommodation roads. Projects must benefit two or more parcels of land owned or occupied by different persons or serve the public.

Public Realm Enhancement at the MARKET YARD, TIPPERARY TOWN

N24 Pallasgreen to Cahir

The Route Selection Reports for the N24 Pallasgreen to Bansha and the N24 Bansha to Cahir Road Improvement Schemes were approved in 2003 and the Part 8 Planning Process for a wide single carriageway for the Pallasgreen to Bansha Section was completed in December 2004.

N24 Clonmel Outer Bypass

The emerging Preferred Route was submitted for public consultation in 2006.

N24 Carrick on Suir By-Pass

A Route Selection report for the above Scheme was approved in 2003 and the Part 8 Planning Process for a wide single carriageway was completed in December 2004.

A review of the preferred route for the Scheme was initiated in 2008.

Temporary Closure of Roads

From time to time it will be necessary for roads to be temporarily closed to facilitate road works, water and sewerage schemes, events, etc.

Roads Section Strategy

  • To effectively implement the current 5 year plan for the surface restoration and reconstruction of non-national roads.
  • To progress the implementation of community assisted and local improvement schemes.
  • To continue to ensure that in planning the improvement of national routes.
