The proposed N24 Cahir to Limerick Junction Project extends from the M8 motorway, north of Cahir in Co. Tipperary to a docking point in County Limerick. The Study Area for the Scheme extents from the M8 motorway to west of Oola.. Tipperary County Council is the Lead Authority for the Scheme and is working in partnership with Limerick City and County Council, Transport Infrastructure Ireland and the Department of Transport.
Phase 1 – ‘Concept and Feasibility’ for the Scheme was completed in September 2020 and approval was received from TII to proceed to Phase 2 – ‘Option Selection’. The Phase 2 Study Area has been identified and is being made available for viewing on the Project Website at https://n24cahirlimerick.ie/
The first Public Consultation on ‘Constraints’ within the Study Area is scheduled to take place in Q1 2021 and a Briefing to the Elected Representatives will be held in advance of this Public Consultation. There will be ongoing consultation with the Public and Council throughout Phase 2.
