An Fóram Uisce, the Water Forum, has re-opened its invitation for applications and has provided further details with regard to working arrangements, for the following positions:
• Technical Lead - Catchment Management and Water Services (1 post);
• Communications and Education Lead (1 post);
• Research Lead (1 post).
THESE ARE FIXED TERM CONTRACT POSTS – Ceasing on 31st December 2021
An Fóram Uisce was established in June 2018 in accordance with the Water Services Act 2017 to provide a platform for public engagement on all matters relating to water as an environmental, social and economic resource.
As the only statutory body representative of all stakeholders with an interest in the quality of Ireland’s water bodies, it consists of 28 members including representatives from a wide range of organisations with direct connections to issues relating to water quality and also public water consumers.
An Fóram has advisory roles in relation to the Minister for Housing, Planning and Local Government, Irish Water, the Commission for Regulation of Utilities and also the Water Policy Advisory Committee. Further, it provides an opportunity for stakeholders to debate and analyse a range of issues with regard to water quality, rural water concerns, issues affecting customers of Irish Water and the implementation of the Water Framework Directive and the River Basin Management Plan for Ireland 2018-2021.
The advertised posts will form part of the team supporting An Fóram in its work. The annual salary scale for the Technical Lead - Catchment Management and Water Services and also the Research Lead will be €64,548 (min) to €75,208 (max) excluding LSI’s. The annual salary scale for the Communications and Education Lead will be €48,978 (min) to €59,405 (max) excluding LSI’s.
The posts require attendance for 37 hours per week and it is likely that parts of the work schedule will be outside normal office hours, so flexibility will be required.
