What is the remit of the Environment Section in relation to litter complaints?
Litter relates to any substance or object (which can range in size, volume or extent, from anything like paper or cigarette ends to large items) when unlawfully placed (in a public place or visible from a public place), that is, or is likely to become, unsightly, deleterious, nauseous or unsanitary.
