Draft County Tipperary Heritage Plan 2026 - 2031

Our Heritage is what we have inherited from the past, to value and enjoy in the present, and to preserve and pass on to future generations. It comprises of the tangible: our historic sites, buildings, monuments, artefacts,  archives , landscapes, flora and fauna and the intangible: including our customs, sports, folklore, crafts, skills and traditions.

Tipperary Heritage Office has prepared a Draft County Heritage Plan.

The Draft Plan will be available for public consultation from 22 June 2026 to 22 July 2026 (inclusive)

The Draft Plan may be viewed online at the Council’s consultation portal at:

Submissions or observations in respect of the Draft Plan are invited from members of the public and interested parties and may be made in writing no later than 4.00 p.m. on 22 July 2026. In particular, the Council welcomes views on the proposed actions, priorities and any additional measures that will help protect and enhance heritage in the County. 

Submissions should be clearly marked “Draft County Heritage Plan 2026–2031” and submitted by one of the following methods:

All submissions and observations received will be taken into consideration before the final Plan is adopted.
