Tipperary County Council, in accordance with “Housing for All”, is actively working on developing affordable housing over the coming years. The purpose of an affordable housing scheme is to provide houses at a reduced price for eligible applicants. Notwithstanding the eligibility criteria that are contained in the Regulations for any scheme, the Council wishes to establish the level of interest in County Tipperary for affordable dwellings. This is a survey of the level of interest in affordable housing purchase and cost rental and is for the purpose of gathering information on:
- income levels,
- family size,
- housing type and
- location preference.
The information will be used to inform the Council on the level of demand and locations for affordable houses and the house prices that people can afford. This will aid us in designing a scheme with the right type of homes, at the locations and price points that suit your needs insofar as possible. Availability of any affordable housing schemes progressed by the Council in the future will be advertised separately, and there will be a formal application process when these schemes are ready for occupation.
