Tidy Towns

In 2023, Tipperary County Council supported Tidy Town Associations, through the allocation of grants to 119 Tidy Town Groups, totalling €194,535   

The Supervalu Tidy Town Competition received 78 entries from groups, within Tipperary in 2023.

Tipperary County Council would like to acknowledge the hard work of all entrants and thank them for the pride they have shown in their local areas.

Their great work is highly valued and the Council will continue to support these Groups into the future, throughout the county.  

Congratulations to all the 2023 winners and groups who have shown improvements in the 2023 competition.

Tidy Towns Grant Scheme 2024

Applications are invited from Tidy Towns/Community Groups, under the above Scheme

for projects/works to be carried out in 2024, which will enhance the appearance of the

local area/village/town.

Eligibility:

• Applicants must be a recognised Community/Tidy Towns Group involved in

activities to enhance and improve the appearance of the local area/village/town.

• All applicants must submit a one page Action Plan for their area.

• Grants will be awarded on the basis of the number of applications received,

the funding available and evidence of expenditure incurred.

Grant Qualifying Criteria:

• Registered with the Tipperary Public Participation Network (PPN Registration No.).

• Copy of current Bank Statement.

• Copy of Insurance Cover Certificate.

• Evidence of expenditure incurred, requested at a later date.

Closing date for completed applications is Friday 15th March, 2024.
