THURLES, NENAGH AND TIPPERARY TOWN TO RECEIVE SIRO’S FULL FIBRE BROADBAND

Minister Humphreys launched the Connected Hubs Voucher Scheme, which will give remote workers free use of their local digital hub.
At least 10,000 hot desk spaces will be provided under the Scheme, which is aimed at both existing hub users, as well as those accessing hub facilities for the first time.

The Minister for Rural and Community Development, Heather Humphreys, T.D. today (Tuesday 7th June) committed to additional pilot sites to roll out high speed internet access, working with the Microsoft Airband Initiative.

The rollout of high-speed broadband through the National Broadband Plan (NBP) will be a key enabler of remote working in rural Ireland, with added benefits through reduced commuting time, lower transport emissions, a better work-life balance and improved quality of life.

NBI has recently completed kiosks in Galway, Cavan and Cork and will have Representatives available at a Pop-Up Kiosk in Tesco’s, Limerick Road, Tipperary Town on Friday and Saturday October 8 & 9th.
