I have changed the engine in my vehicle. What must I do to update my vehicle's documentation details?

You need to complete a Change of Particulars [ Form RF111 ] and send it to your Local Motor Taxation Office together with one of the following, whichever is applicable:

- the Registration (Log) Book, the Vehicle Licencing Certificate or Vehicle Registration Certificate.

The Change of engine Section on RF111 must be completed by Main Dealer - who must have Garage Code. A specific letter from Main Dealer who has certified the engine change must also certify the cc of the replacement engine in addition to completing the relevant Section on Form RF111. An updated Vehicle Registration Certificate will be issued to the owner by the Vehicle Registration Unit in due course.
