Tipperary County Council

Foreword Cathaoirleach Councillor Mattie Ryan

I am delighted to be elected as the Fifth Cathaoirleach of Tipperary County Council.

During my term of office I hope to promote the county, with a particular emphasis on jobs and rural Tourism. I would also like to see ongoing investment in the areas of housing, local roads and sewerage schemes in local villages.

it is important that Tipperary is well placed to avail of any opportunities that will arise from any National or European funding streams that become available.

I look forward to meeting the various community and voluntary groups throughout this county who do Trojan work in their local communities.

I will continue to promote the importance of shopping local in order to support and grow our retail and indigenous sector, which is critical to the local economy.

The Local Electoral Area Boundary recommendations represent another challenge for Councillors when they go to the electorate in 2019 for re-election and I would like to wish each Councillor every success in that regard.

In conclusion, I look forward to working with the Management, Staff and Members of the Council in ensuring that the Premier County continues to grow and develop thus offering greater opportunities for all of our Citizen's.

Procurement

How do I register with SupplyGov?

SupplyGov is a procurement system which facilitates the Local Authorities and other state agencies to run mini-tenders (from frameworks that have already been advertised on eTenders). It primarily deals with categories relating to Plant Hire; Minor Building & Civil Works and related training.

SupplyGov.ie has two sections

  • Requests for Tenders (RFTs) - Requests for Tenders are mini competitions run under Frameworks and
  • Requests for Quotations (RFQs)these are for under €25,000 aggregate spend

Suppliers can register at www.supplygov.ie and completing the necessary checklists and documentation. All new Frameworks are published as a contract notice on eTenders, the Irish Government Portal. So it is vital that you are registered on eTenders if you want notification of relevant frameworks relating to Plant Hire; Minor Building & Civil Works and related training. You cannot join an existing framework until the framework is re-advertised.
If you need assistance in registering as a supplier with Supplygov.ie, the Customer Service Helpdesk Team will assist. Phone: 076 1064020. Email: eproc@kerrycoco.ie

How do I quote for business under the€25,000 eTenders threshold?

In compliance with national requirements, Tipperary County Council is participating in national procurement arrangements as they come on stream. We are also developing our own frameworks where required. There will be fewer and fewer one-off quotation arrangements as the roll-out of frameworks continue. Any existing panels or other arrangements will be succeeded by advertised systems over time. These arrangements will advertised on eTenders. So another reminder, that no matter what goods or services you provide, you will receive notification if registered on eTenders with all the codes indicated if you wish to be informed.

For those goods and services the organisation uses occasionally and come under the threshold:

  • Be registered with SupplyGov – requests for quotations (RFQs) for under €25,000 aggregate spend
