Business Improvement District Scheme

Local authorities may support proposals from ratepayers for a programme of projects, services and works for a proposed Business Improvement District. These would be in addition to those provided by the local authority and would be carried out for the benefit of the businesses operating in the district. Businesses would pay an additional rate levy to fund these projects and services.
