Thurles Municipal District are delighted to announce that a new outdoor exercise area has been installed at Templemore Town Park. This adult gym will cater for users of varying fitness levels, ages, abilities and disabilities (wheelchair accessible stations are included in the design). This free outdoor gym facility allows people to work-out outside in the fresh air - all year round.
The project has been funded by the Department of Rural & Community Development along with match funding from Tipperary County Council.
The park consists of 36 hectares, and contains walking/cycling paths around the beautiful lake and numerous meandering walking trails including a fantastic fairy trail within its picturesque woodlands. Let the kids discover the magical fairy homes along the way which leads them to the spacious playground – a wonderful day out for children! The outdoor exercise area, pitch and putt course, picnic areas and fishing points are all amenities within the confines of the park thus ensuring that the park has a recreational offering for everyone.
