Munster Vales Strategic Tourism Development Plan

The Munster Vales five-year plan will support the development of new and existing tourism opportunities and position Munster Vales as a key tourism destination.



The strategy aims to maximise partnership working between the four local authorities, providing opportunities for local businesses with joined up products and experiences across the area.

Tipperary Tourism Company

Tipperary Tourism Company was established in 2014 following the merger of North & South Tipperary County Council. Tipperary Tourism Company was set up with the objective 'To promote market and develop Tipperary as Ireland's premier inland visitor destination in both the domestic and overseas markets. To encourage sustainability through the improvement and addition of product offering, upskilling of providers and extending visitor lengths of stay and increasing spend within the county.’

Tipperary County Council and Tipperary Tourism recognise the important opportunity that tourism provides in terms of economic impact, job creation and sustainability for the county. There is a huge opportunity to drive forward an ambitious countywide investment programme, creating successful tourism development leading not only to job creation and economic development but to county pride, confidence and community wellbeing, all of which is critically important from a county development point of view.
