Community Climate Action Fund

Tipperary County Council Climate Action Office is delighted to announce the approval of €750,000 grant assistance to 25 community projects in the county.  See press release for further details and go to this link for the list of projects.

The Department of the Environment, Climate and Communications allocated €700,000  to Tipperary County Council for the Community Climate Action Fund.  This funding is being provided to fund community climate action projects and initiatives for capacity building within local communities.  There are 5 themes:

 

• Theme 1: Home/energy

Theme 2: Travel

Theme 3: Food and waste

Theme 4: Shopping and recycling

Theme 5: Local climate and environmental action

 

There are 3 Tiers of Funding

  • Small projects – 20,000 or less
  • Medium projects – 21,000 to 50,000
  • Large projects – 51,000 to 100,000
