Community Enhancement Programme

Local Community Development Committees provide financial support to community and voluntary groups to support small capital projects which improve facilities in disadvantaged areas. These may include the development of community centres and amenities, burial grounds, sports and recreation facilities, men's and women's sheds, and CCTV equipment.

Clogheen Enhancement & Painting Grant Scheme 2023

Tipperary County Council is seeking to improve the streetscape and public realm of Clogheen in the Tipperary Cahir Cashel Municipal District through supporting the owners of properties to improve and enhance their properties and public areas.

Grants of up to 50% of the costs to a maximum of €300 are available. Applications are currently being accepted and terms and conditions apply.

As the budget for the scheme is limited priority will be given to:

Community Enhancement Programme(CEP)

Ministers Humphreys and O’Brien launched on 10th of May 2021 a €4.5 million fund, under the CEP, to provide

  • Funding to support local groups to re-open their facilities post Covid-19
  • Small grants for repairs and renovations, new equipment and safety upgrades
  • Community Enhancement Programme to focus on disadvantaged areas

Tipperary County Council have received €149,690. We are proposing to ring fence €50,000 of the fund to target specific initiatives in the county

What is Eligible: Premises in the town that would add to the area if painting and enhancement were carried out

Grant Size: Max €500

Match funding requirement (yes/no or %): 50% of total cost to a max of €500
