Nenagh Tidy Towns - Residential Estate/Private Home Owner Garden Competition 2022

Nenagh Tidy Towns Committee take great pleasure in launching their ‘Residential Estate/Private Home Owner Garden Competition 2022’. The Tidy Towns Committee appreciate all the great work done by the various Residential Estate committees, Individual Property Owners and the huge support and sponsorship provided by various organisations, schools and businesses in Nenagh Town, all of which contributes to keeping our great Town attractive, clean and tidy. The Committee also acknowledge the valuable assistance and support of the outdoor staff and clerical staff of Tipperary County Council. There is no doubt but that the commendable efforts of all have greatly contributed to Nenagh ranking so highly in the Nation’s Tidy Towns Awards, an achievement of which they are very proud.

The competition Nenagh Tidy Towns Committee is now launching is open to Residential Estates and Individual Private Home Owner Gardens within Nenagh Town. It is very much recognising the valiant efforts and contributions of Nenagh’s residential estates as well as individual homeowner’s gardens in improving their local environment and making their area a better place to live, work and visit. Living in an age of climate change it is most encouraging to see a heightened awareness by residential estates and private home gardens of the importance of pollinators and environmentally friendly gardening techniques to promote nature, biodiversity and sustainability. Judging for this competition will encompass such criteria as floral displays, planting of shrubs and trees, maintenance of lawns and greens, tidiness, creativity and evidence of environmentally friendly gardening techniques.
