Clonmel Urban Design Project
Location: lrish Town, Wolfe Tone Street, O'Connell Street, Bridge Street, Mary Street, Old Bridge, Sarsfield Street, Bank Lane, Abbey Street, Mitchell Street, Market Street, Gladstone Street, Elbow Lane, Blue Anchor Lane, Hopkins Lane
The Clonmel Urban Design Project comprises the following:
- Public realm enhancement through upgrading existing streets with high quality paving, public lighting, street furniture, planting and landscaping and installation of CCTV
- Widening of footpaths, reducing road carriageway widths and installation of new and improvement of existing pedestrian crossings.
- Modifications to traffic management through the town where O'Connell St. will be made eastbound one-way from it's junction with Mary 5V Bridge 5t to Gladstone St.
- Modifications to on-street car-parking to include a change from diagonal parking to parallel parking on O'Connell Street and removal of parking to facilitate widened footpaths, improved pedestrian connectivity and improved traffic flow.
- Utility connections and diversions including undergrounding of overhead cable/utilities.
- Utility connections and Diversions on Peter 5t. and Parnell St.
- All associated site and ancillary works.
